Frequently asked questions
Options Marketing is an OOH advertising directory that connects brands directly with authorised media owners across India. Below are the questions advertisers and media owners ask most often about how the platform works, what outdoor media costs, and how sites are verified.
Booking outdoor media
How do I book outdoor advertising through Options Marketing?
Search the listings by state, city and media type to find available sites. Review the dimensions, location and photographs, then enquire directly through the listing. The media owner responds with current availability and their rate, and you book with them directly.
What types of outdoor media can I book?
Listings cover billboards, hoardings, unipoles, monopoles, LED screens, gantries, cantilevers, kiosks, pole kiosks, bus shelters and BQS sites. You can filter by media type, or browse everything available in a particular city or state.
Which cities and states do you cover?
The directory carries inventory across states and union territories throughout India, from metro markets to tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Use the state and city filters on the listings page to see exactly what is currently available in a given market.
How far in advance should I book?
Four to six weeks is a reasonable lead time for most markets, allowing for artwork approval and production. Premium metro sites and festival periods book considerably further ahead, so plan two to three months out for those.
What is the minimum booking period?
Most Indian outdoor sites are booked in monthly cycles, with one month the usual minimum. Some owners offer fortnightly slots on lower-demand inventory, and LED screens are typically sold by slot rather than by month.
Can I book sites in multiple cities at once?
Yes. Add sites to your comparison list as you browse, then enquire on each. Because inventory belongs to different media owners, a multi-city campaign usually means separate bookings, though your points of contact stay listed in one place.
Cost and payment
How much does OOH advertising cost in India?
[Replace with your real monthly rate range.] Rates vary with location tier, media type, size, illumination and booking duration. Every listing shows its own rate, and enquiring with the media owner gives you a firm quote for your dates.
Do you charge agency commission?
No. Options Marketing is a directory, not an agency. You deal with the authorised media owner directly, so there is no commission layer between you and the rate they quote. That is the main reason brands use the platform.
Are printing and mounting included in the rate?
Usually not. Site rental and production are quoted separately. Flex printing and mounting are charged per square foot and normally arranged by the media owner, so confirm whether a quoted rate is display-only before comparing sites.
How do I pay for a booking?
Payment is arranged directly between you and the media owner, on their terms. Options Marketing does not process payments or hold funds, so agree the payment schedule with the owner in writing before the campaign starts.
For media owners
How do I list my OOH media on the platform?
Submit your sites through the List Your Media page with location, dimensions, media type, illumination and photographs. Once the details are checked, your listings go live and advertisers can enquire with you directly.
What does it cost to list my media?
[Replace with your listing terms.] State plainly whether listing is free, subscription-based or charged per site. Media owners compare platforms on this before anything else, so an evasive answer here costs you sign-ups.
Do enquiries come to me directly?
Yes. Advertisers enquire on your listing and reach you directly, without an agent in between. You negotiate rates and terms yourself and keep the full value of the booking.
Can I update or remove a listing?
Yes. Sites can be updated as availability, rates or photographs change, and taken down when inventory is booked or no longer offered. Keeping listings current is what makes advertisers trust the directory.
About the platform
What does "verified media owner" mean?
[Describe your verification process.] Explain what you actually check — business registration, ownership of the structure, municipal permissions — because "verified" is the core promise of the directory and vague wording undermines it.
Is a permit required for outdoor advertising in India?
Yes. Outdoor media is regulated by municipal authorities and permissions vary considerably by city. Authorised media owners hold the licence for their structures, so booking through a verified owner means the permit is already in place for that site.
What is the difference between a billboard and a hoarding?
In Indian usage the terms overlap heavily and are often interchangeable. Where a distinction is drawn, "hoarding" tends to describe frame-mounted panels at street level, while "billboard" suggests larger elevated formats. Both refer to static large-format outdoor media.
Is Options Marketing an advertising agency?
No. It is a directory that lists OOH inventory and connects advertisers with the media owners who hold it. Planning, creative and buying decisions stay with you, which is what removes the commission layer from the transaction.
